Custom Die-Struck Soft Enameled Pins Made in Brass and IronThese pins are struck out of jeweler’s brass or iron. The brass is plated in gold or nickel, and the iron pins are brass or nickel plated. The dies are made with ridges to hold the soft enamel. The enamel has a high gloss coloring and is baked in an oven to give the pin a durable finish. Some of the pieces shown below have an additional color printed on top of the enamel. This is required when fine line lettering is required, which cannot be enameled. In addition to die charges an additional plate charge will be required. These are one time charges. Findings on the backside include our standard butterfly clutch, quality spring loaded gold or silver clutch, a bar pin with safety catch, tie tack with bar & chain, and a magnet finding. Quantity breaks start at 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000. Normal production time is 4 weeks, and a 3 week rush service is available. Custom Photo Etched Soft Enameled Lapel PinsThe technique used to produce these vibrant colorful pins is chemical etching of brass, stainless steel & aluminum. This results in recessed areas which are then filled with epoxy soft enamel. Note that each color is separated by a metal ridge. PMS colors can be matched. If necessary, it is possible to print colors on top of the enamel, as shown on a few sample pins below. Printing colors is used when the text is too small to enamel. A printing plate is required for each printed color and an extra charge will apply. These pins are lighter and thinner than die struck pins. The average thickness is about 1 millimeter. A clear epoxy dome covering can be added. The standard finding is a brass butterfly clutch or commonly referred to as military clutch back. Quantity breaks start at 150, 300, 500, 1000, 2500. 5000. Any of these pins can be made in Sterling silver, Fine Silver, 1/10 10kt gold filled, 1/20 10kt gold filled, 10kt gold, and 14kt gold. Prices in semi-precious and precious metal will be quoted at current market prices of the metal. The finishes shown below include high polishing, sandblasting, and hand antiquing. In addition most of the samples shown have been electroplated in gold, nickel or silver. Limited enameling or printing on the pin is available. Findings available for the pins include a butterfly clutch, quality spring loaded clutches, tie tack and chain, bar pin with safety catch, and joint and catch. This method achieves the best quality enameling available. Some of the pieces shown on our website have an additional color printed on top of the enamel. Custom Military Insignias: Die-Struck in Brass with Hard Stoned EpoxyThese insignia pins are die-struck in jeweler’s brass and electroplated in gold & nickel. The enamel is Hard Stoned Epoxy. The enamel has a high gloss finish, and is baked in an oven to give the insignia a lasting durable finish. In addition the stoning and polishing give the insignia a smooth hard finish. Since the insignias meet the United States Army Institute of Heraldry requirements, an extra heavy deposit of gold and nickel is required, as well as hard soldered findings. We are certified by the Heraldry to manufacture military insignias. The heraldry supplies the dies to us and we make the cutters. Quantity requirements depend on the individual military units. The photo is applied to a photo label that is then attached to a brass metal backing in various sizes and shapes. Since the pins are digitally produced there is no limit to the amount of colors. There is a maximum of 4 printed colors, which does not include the metallic Mylar background. The advantage of this process over digital printed pins is the bright gold or silver metallic background, which is not available on digital printed pins. The disadvantage is the maximum of 4 colors on the pin. The stock shapes include circles, ovals, squares, and rectangles in various sizes listed below. The pins are covered with a clear epoxy dome. Silk Screening is an inexpensive process, yet the result produces vibrant colors. The standard pricing includes 5 colors with a clear epoxy coating. The standard finish is brass or nickel. The result is a pin that resembles a high quality photo process. There is no limit to the number of colors. Your options include a brass, aluminum or steel base metal. There will be an additional charge for gold plating a brass pin. Any shape is possible. This process can pick up all the fine detail from your graphics; including text.PMS colors can be matched. The pins come with a clear epoxy coating, nail and butterfly clutch finding and poly bagged. Unlike the other category of pins the minimum quantity starts at 1,000, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 25,000 pcs and up. This process produces the least expensive price but requires higher quantities.
