The 'Outstanding Student' medal is bordered with a method of scalloping around its border that gives it a distinct diamond cut appearance. It is available only in gold and the back face can be engraved or imprinted. The front design consists of an open book with a lamp covering it, and a star with a wreath above the lamp and book. 'Outstanding Student' is inscribed with half of the phrase above the illustration, and the other half below it. - IMPRINTING COPY MUST ALL BE THE SAME
